The frontal view of All-Comers' University is captured by the lights. Many undergraduates are seen clustering around the school hostel while others are busy either going for lectures or returning from school. The time is 11:00am. Nroma gathers his lectures materials and leaves the hostel for his mid- day lecture to be delivered by prof. Iyah, a no nonsense professor of comparative literary studies known even universally because of his enormous scholarly contributions to the development of Education. His accent is a mockery of an English scholar yet he is assessed a brilliant and an intelligent scholar considering his innately endowed wisdom: Nroma runs in order to beat time. He is in company with five of his friends. Nroma: [ Takes a look at the series of lectures they have]. Today shall be hectic. Ekpenyong: Six lectures at a stretch. Ahemed: Too long a time. Buchi: I wonder what one can achieve in grasping with this unfavorable time- table. Femi: old boy! this kind wahala! I no fit cope up oo! Nonso: But our success and failure starts now. Nroma: You are right, those who soar higher like Eagle, reap the fruit of hardwork. Buchi: Old boy! me ma go shun this lecture o! Ahmed: Then lets look for a better place to relax. Femi: come rain or shine, I am done for today's lecture, bye bye! Nroma: What will you tell your parents is your mission here? Femi: keep that question for yourself. I didn't ask for your contribution. Nroma: I'm sorry! Femi gets Buchi, Ahmed and Ekpenyong to his camp whole Nroma and Nonso get committed to their course. Nroma: [ Let's quicken our steps] You know the prof. is a disciplinarian. He hates students attending lectures late. Nonso: I assure you the door can't be locked against us. Nroma: We should pay much attention to profs lectures today. Nonso: He's taking us on critical frameworks. Nroma: I have already made notes on them. Nonso: How did you get the notes?. Nroma: I got them fro. those ahead of us. Nonso: [ commends him] Oh! You are a lucky and a hardworking student!. Nroma: I bet you at the end of our stay in this university, i shall receive an award of excellence for my outstanding academic performance. Nonso: May your dreams come true ! when you go to heaven, please remember me! Nroma: we shall all work together in order to attain our desired goals. Nonso: That's right. The two students quickly walk into the lecture hall where the other students are waiting for the arrival of the prof. As soon as the wall clock in the lecture hall exactly strikes 12 noon, the prof. locks the door against those who are lates as was done to the five foolish virgins.
